TTC’s IP Voice Services (TTC IPVS) is a next generation Unified Communications (UC) proposition for UK businesses that uses Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. It provides all the functionality of a traditional telephone system plus more advanced functionality made possible through our central cloud service, which includes video calling and mobile extension services.

Business end users that don’t have an onsite telephone system (PBX) can use our Hosted UC (Hosted) cloud PBX offering, or can utilise their existing onsite PBX using our SIP Trunking UC (SIP Trunking) offer.

TTC IPVS is a UC product but it is worth understanding what this means as it can mean different things to different people. Fundamentally, UC is about integrating many different communications services together (eg voice, presence, messaging, video, etc.), usually under one common service offering.

The use of UC is designed to optimise business practices and make communication easier for users to navigate. The diagram below is an example of the components of a typical UC TTC IPVS offering, utilising either Hosted or SIP Trunking as the primary telephony means. These services attach themselves to the UC environment to form the overall UC offering.
